·        Definition:

A fluid preparation of natural essences, synthetic compounds, and a fixative, specifically formulated for body application. 

·        Usage:

Primarily a personal care product worn on the skin or clothing to emit a pleasant odor. 

·        Concentration:

Refers to the concentration of aromatic compounds in a liquid base. 

·        Types:

"Perfume" itself can also refer to the most concentrated type of fragrance, also called parfum, which contains the highest percentage of aromatic compounds (typically 20-30%) and provides the longest-lasting scent.
